Bowl Gouge Sharpening Jig
A simple jig for putting a fingernail grind onto a bowl gouge.
This jig needs to be pivoted on it's spike from a fixed spot on your work bench directly in front of your grinding wheel. Your gouge must also protrude from the front of the jig by an exact amount every time you sharpen it to ensure that the grind will be consistent. This can best be achieved by using a block with a blind hole drilled into it as a depth stop while you tighten the thumb screw.
